Yes, we had to deal with some “every member a mission president” attitudes, but most members were awesome. Dinner appointments every day, freebies and perks at restaurants, dry cleaning, activities on P-Days, etc.
Sure it would be a cool experience to go to a foreign country and learn another language, but as far as teaching, baptizing, and missionary activities? Salt Lake City and Southern Utah was awesome!
