You’re contending with basic physics… I mean literally what you’re saying is physically impossible
The article you posted doesn’t even support what you say. It’s just saying that different macros are processed differently. And yes, obviously for overall health you need certain things. But if you want to lose or gain weight it’s as simple as elementary physics and thermodynamics.

Also “nuts don’t count” is some of the worst diet advice out there. Nuts are super calorie dense and one of the things you should cut out if you want to lose weight.
