Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common "overuse" injuries in the body
as such it has a pretty "cookbook" approach to treatment.

First is to rest and stop overusing the foot. Second, minimalist shoes are never the answer for plantar fasciitis...quite the opposite. I recommend soft running shoes like Hoka or Sketchers Max cushioning. Third is stretching exercises. Go online and look up plantar fasciitis stretching exercises and do them right when you get out of bed in the morning, anytime you sit for more than 15 minutes and before bed. Go purchase an OTC arch support.

If these measures fail, go to your podiatrist and more aggressive treatment will be instituted. Cortisone injections, PT, custom orthotics etc.
