Long story short... after 15 years of trying to make my den/office/study look like an 'old world' study (something a stuffed bear or a suit-of-armor wouldn't look out of place in), my wife has given me instructions on its remodel.

Out goes my dark walnut floor-to-ceiling bookshelves & desk.
Out goes my 4' long saltwater reef tank.
Out goes my 3D printers and assorted nerd things.
Out goes all of my nerd nick-nacks crammed into the shelves.

In comes the (ugg) WHITE built-in floor to ceiling wall of shelves that are to be decorated "like a normal person would" (also, I have to make these built-ins.. insult to injury)
I am allowed to make a new desk in whatever style I want, as long as what I want is what my wife wants.
I have already sold my reef tank (and purchased a new one.. HA! we'll see how that goes over)

I was told I could use a few shelves to 'tastefully display' my football helmets.

I know she was just talking about the two full-size football helmets I have. However, she said I could 'display my helmets'... Since it is my den/office/study/(nap room) I have decided to expand my collection.

Each row of the wall unit will be broken into 6 individual 'shelf boxes' (4 rows of shelves with cabinets on the bottom).

For my 'helmet' row I'm thinking: Mandolorian Helmet, Football, [Need Idea], Football, Storm Trooper 'Scout' helmet, Football.

What helmet should I make for the 3rd NERD helmet? Some ideas I'm toying with..
* The Rocketeer helmet (from the movie)
* Halo Master Cheif helmet
* Finish off the Star Wars with a Darth Vader helmet
* Iron Giant head.

I need something my wife will roll her eyes at... but still accept to be on display 🙂
