If you think that you have a company that will grow by 100x selling stock now
Is a terrible decision.
Example 100000 for 1 share now
In 10 years you can pay off the loan for .01 shares if price goes up by 100x.
If you would have sold you traded $100,000 for $10,000,000 - a very bad move.

This is incorrect man. They can wait until they pass away, get a step in basis on their assets, and have all that growth

They can let the debt run up forever and then have it paid for with assets that have stepped up in basis at their death.
