How is this not a win-win for the whole sport? For that matter, look at the FCS, they play a 16-team playoff and settle it all on the field and money abounds. I'll bet to the tune of billions of dollars.

If you did a 16 team playoff, then the power 5's best two teams, plus 5 at-large could be selected plus the best G5. That's a win-win-win for some conferences who will get three teams in.

16 won't happen because the cabal is too selfish and the schedule probably too much for school semester systems and wear and tear, but if you do 12 teams, then you have all the conference champions, plus 1 G5, and then the highest ranked at-large teams. Another win-win for all.
