Sundance comes and takes the kids boot size and provide skis. We have to bus them up there. Sundance provides ski instruction and the kids have a blast. There is a cost but I don't remember how much. Pretty minimal when compared to actual ski resort prices. We ask parents to cover the cost and Sundance has a few "scholarships" and we get the PTA to help with the rest. I'm in Provo so I'm not sure if it is limited to only certain cities or not.
A couple of the schools in Provo take their kids for several days each year. They have to sign up and then they get to go Fridays for several weeks. Wasatch and Westridge elementary schools participate in it. Maybe more than that but those are the ones I know of.
