Not saying it shouldn't happen, a country needs taxes paid and social security for the elderly, but if you're looking at something as purely financial gains or losses then you can see the same ideology in a lot of aspects of life. Why wouldn't the government give an incentive to have kids and thus future tax payers so those at the top can get more money under the guise that they are providing goods and services to you?
