Data on MLMs is damning. The animosity is deserved. Here it is:
FTC reports that 99% of MLM participants lose money . 99%! AARP study finds that the numbers are shocking too. They found only 25% of participating make a profit and they don’t make much. 14% made less than $5,000, 6% made between $5,000 and $9,999, 3% made between $10,000 and $24,999, 3% made $25,000 or more, while just .05% made $100,000 or more .
**THAT MEANS A $12.50/HOUR JOB AT MCDONALDS WILL PAY MORE THAN 96.5% OF ALL MLM SELLERS.**
The problem: It’s not presented that way. Odds aren’t discussed. Failures aren’t shown. It’s misleading to show the 0.5% that will make $100K+ when 99.5% do poorly. It’s deceitful to do so.
