As someone who lives outside Utah now (military) and wants to move back, I can vouch for this

Once I leave the military next year and finish grad school in a couple years we would really like to be back near family and friends. It would take a lot more money to have us move somewhere where we don’t know anyone far from family, especially once we reach that “comfort” level. If I could get $2M in Utah and $3M in Seattle I personally would pay the $1M to live somewhere I really like.
