45 for 6 would surprise me, but I agree in theory
36 for 6 seems well within range, with a pretty high guarantee/buyout. Given that most reports had him at $1.5M prior to his extension and that BYU's mindset isn't going to be the type to pay more until they have the money (i.e. not until Big 12 money comes in) that could be a LOT.

All values here are hypothetical, but let's imagine Kalani's new deal pays him $2M/yr (a 33% increase over previous salary) until 2024 with a raise to $3.5M/yr then. So over the next 6 years, that's $18M (2x$2M + 4x$3.5M) And if Washington is offering $36M over 6 with a $20M buyout...well that's hard to pass up.

Tell me how many of you would legitimately give up $18 million dollars to be at BYU?
