the Capitals on Sunday. They played much better after getting embarrassed at home vs. the Avalanche last week (a game I had the misfortune to see in person).
They've got quite a bit of talent and experience (if maybe lacking in team speed overall), but have just struggled to gel a bit and have played sloppy at times during their 6 game skid. Even when losing, however, they've shown well during long stretches but had some bad luck.
They finally broke out and played well against the Capitals in a solid 5-2 game. Philip Grubauer had been struggling a bit with a sub .900 save percentage, but finally had a dominant game on Sunday.
Hoping they'll get a win streak going (even if unlikely tonight). I think they're still potentially a wild card team if they can play a little better for a stretch.
With all that said, I've been to a few games now, and they're all really a blast, with terrific fan support. If you're in the Seattle area, I highly recommend.
