Is developing Lan and Nynaeve's relationship. In the books they all of sudden start talking promises and future and I was always scanning back to see if I missed where they developed a relationship in the first book (I've read the books probably 7 times — its not there).

Also, Liandrin is a little more subtle in her approaches to other characters. In the books she practically wore a dastardly curled mustache, she was so one-dimensionally nasty.
