Here's how much the committee has dropped ranked conference championship losers the past few years

In case you are hoping for Baylor or others to drop a considerable amount in 9 days.

TL;DR: Pray for blowouts if you are hoping for more than a 1 spot drop

2018:

Georgia drops from 4 to 5

Texas drops from 14 to 15

Utah goes from 17 to 17

Northwestern drops from 21 to 22

Pittsburgh was unranked and then unranked

2019:

Georgia drops from 4 to 5

Baylor goes from 7 to 7

Wisconsin goes from 8 to 8

Utah goes drops from 5 to 11 (blowout)

Virginia goes from 23 to 24

2020 ( a bit of an outlier as games were later and other games were going on still):

Florida goes from 7 to 7

Notre Dame drops from 2 to 4

Northwestern goes from 14 to 14

Iowa State goes from 6 to 10 (one score game)

USC goes from 13 to 17 (one score game)
