I know it is a favorite pass time on CB to bash the defense. I actually thought the defense that was called was pretty good. (Understanding that you are playing an opponent that is also trying to win and you won't make a stop every play. Also, watching other games that I don't care about and realize just how many 3 and longs are converted and how many blown assignments everyone has.) Our execution and even adjustments were good. We started to stack the box, but when our Dline and linebackers are getting tackled every play, It is hard to do a whole lot. I actually was chatting with a friend during the game after USC was making headway and he was lamenting our defense not doing our job and I told him that if we get 1 holding call we will get a stop no problem. Without a holding call, there is just no way. The next drive, we got 1 holding call and went 3 and out. Got the ball back on the go-ahead drive.
