I was talking with an avid Oregon fan because he Texted me after seeing my Instagram story that BYU was pac-12 champs. He continued to rant on and on about how because BYU was independent, that we have cheated the system to get a good bowl game. That whenever we play a power 5 team, it’s not a good team, and that even when we do play a good team, it’s always a home game for us. When I told him that being independent has harmed us in the bowl game category because we get grouped in with the power five. He then ranted on about how we suck at other sports, when I told him we beat Oregon in basketball by 32, he said, I’m not a big basketball fan anyways. He then said, when y’all join a conference in football, then you can talk to me. I told him we had joined the big 12 about a couple months ago. He hasn’t answered back. He doesn’t hate BYU because of our religion, or because we said or did something on the field. It’s because we went independent 😂
