We rarely ate out and when we did it was a cheap burger spot. Each of us would get our own burger, we’d share fries and
were only allowed water.
At home, we ate cheap garbage food that was common among low income families in the 80’s and 90’s. Corn dogs, frozen pizza, ramens etc… I didn’t even know what steak was until I was a late teenager — honestly. We never went out for steak and never had it at home so really didn’t even know it was a thing till quite late in my teenage years.
My kids have been completely spoiled, complete opposite of my upbringing.
