Like you said, there's nothing out of bounds about it. And if Utes want to get frustrated or offended or riled up about it, that's on them. We can't be responsible for other's actions, especially when what we're saying is simply factual.

The thing that bothers me isn't the mentioning of facts at all, it's when the primary/only purpose for it starts being to anger/annoy others. If that's the only reason we do it and the primary enjoyment we get out of it happiness in making others upset or sad, I'm not sure what that says about us.

As mentioned, I don't know what everyone's motivation is and wouldn't presume to judge, but I do know there have been several here that has implied or outright stated that the only reason they do it is for the purpose of angering others. If it's done good-naturedly, that's great, even if a few people do get upset (that's unavoidable in today's world - someone will always be upset about something). But once that becomes the purpose and the goal and the joy we find in it, then we're doing all the things we long professed to detest.
