Obviously our loss to Boise is a killer for our NY6 chances. But they also hurt us by not making that game winning field goal against Oklahoma State early in the season. Had they made that, Oklahoma State is probably sitting there with two losses going into the Baylor game and the loser of that game would be coming away with 3 losses. Even sadder is that Boise got robbed in that game when the refs whistled the 4Q fumble dead that Boise returned for a touchdown. In hindsight, that was a huge botched call that has come back to haunt us. Call it luck, fate, or terrible reffing, but that blown call was big as far as the Cougs are concerned. Not as big as us laying our egg against Boise, but still important in the grand scheme of things.
