1. This is not an ESPN bowl. I’ve heard lots of CBers talking about ESPN moving BYU to another bowl game, but it’s not that simple.

2. The Independence Bowl *could* do some bargaining with ESPN and trade BYU for another opponent, but I find it highly unlikely that the Indy Bowl will let go of a top-12 team that will sell seats and capture a TV audience.

This isn’t a BYU brag… it’s simply an acknowledgment that the Indy Bowl is what it is… and knows they are hitting a home-run with a top-12 team with a national brand. No way are they trading that away to ESPN for Western Kentucky and a few thousand dollars.


Barring a NY6 miracle, we are headed to lovely Shreveport.
