Tell me why that is significant. Isn't Cincy a lock for a NY6 either way?
They might not be in the playoff, but they should get a NY6 game regardless.
I guess if they lose to Houston, then Houston gets the G5 autobid as the highest ranked G5 Conference Champion. Then Cincy would be in contention for one of the last 2 slots.

Baylor and/or Oregon may be more attractive to bowls even if they lose. They don’t have to follow the strict rankings.
