I would definitely negotiate a deal. Some of them, especially the ones outside of the Sand Hollow area are at least 3
hours travel to the staging area where they unload the off road vehicle, then a few more hours on trail. All with a crew of 4 or more to do the filming, and occasionally Rudy brings his Jeep too.
There is no way I'd agree to a Matt's tow unless I negotiated the retrieval for free, or close to free. At 500k to 1,000,000 views per episode, he will gain $5-10k on my recovery alone. My stuck vehicle now provides more value to Matt than it does to have me let Matt extract it. One could always facebook Utah Off-Road Recovery Crew and be out for free.
