Things aren't as bad as the may seem
You guys lost a tough one last night. I know how it feels. One therapy is to go to the sports boards and vent. I have been there and done that (many times).

The good news is this was a basketball game. Losses in basketball will come. The Cougs shot 31%. That happens from time to time and when it does you will generally lose. They are better than they played last night. Look at the Jazz just last week. They lost by 1 to the lowly Pelicans on Friday and the very next night they blew the same team off the court.

When my Utes went to the final-four in 1998, they lost to a mediocre UNLV team in the first round of the WAC tournament. It turned out to be a blessing. They were able to see that they had weaknesses that could be exploited. Back in 1979 Utah lost to a division 2 team, Midwestern on a last-second shot. I thought - this is going to be a terrible season. Three weeks late they upset the eventual national champions Louisville. The point is, crap happens in basketball. The Cougs had an off night. It is sad that you lost a player for the season. I feel for him.

Keep in mind that this was just a basketball game. Think about the four kids killed in Michigan on Tuesday. That is tragic and sad. Nothing is going to bring these kids back. Your basketball team is good with an excellent coach. I think you guys will be fine. (My Utes - not so much.)
