My father had an issue Monday with my step mother. She claims he pushed her and kicked her so she called the police and he was arrested and charged with assault.
He is currently staying at my brothers. He needs his clothes etc, he went with a police escort and was given 2 days worth of clothing. He needs more clothes medicine, and other personal items, but he is not allowed to go to his house and she will not allow any of us to go there and get things for him.
I assume he needs a lawyer, but have absolutely no experience with this. How do I find a good lawyer? How do I help him get the things he needs from his home?
