Nearing the end of the regular season, but before Ohio State (my other favorite team as I grew up while living in Ohio) had the dreaded loss to Michigan, and Oregon their first blowout to Utah, I kept hearing national TV media types saying you had to have Oregon ahead of OSU regardless of the fact that Ohio State looked way better than Oregon, despite that 2nd week of the season loss to the Ducks in Columbus. It made no sense to me because, yes, they lost to Oregon, but they had been without a doubt the more dominating team subsequently.

Still, even though Utah wants to hang their loss to BYU this season to having used a different QB to start the season, that's on them and BYU overpowered Utah and needs to be ranked ahead of the Pukes. We still have one less loss. That's why I want USU to soundly beat SDSU tonight. That should leave no doubt then as BYU easily handled the Aggies and the Aztecs were one of the 3 losses Utah had in the season, that in our case, you HAVE to honor BYU's win over Utah and never place the 3-loss team ahead of us.
