CFP committee ignores losses due to bad coaching?!?!
This committee exists to ensure three things.

1. The SEC does not get half their conference in the NY6.

2. Each P5 champ is in the final top 12.

3. Make exceptions to the first two rules only when there can be absolutely no justification to do otherwise.

Pitt lost to W. Michigan and Miami (both with 5 losses) and is 12?

Utah lost to BYU, SDSU and OSU. The committee actually admitted that Utah gets a pass for bad coaching. Who chose to bench Rising again? The committee is actually discounting losses because a team could win on paper if the coaches had put in the right players? Seriously? What about discounting losses because the coaches called the wrong play?

Is there any scenario where the committee will reward a team for winning a game they have no business even competing in?

Remember, this is the committee that had Oregon ranked third. Yes, they beat Ohio State early, but did they even watch the Fresno State, Stanford, Cal, or UCLA games? Oregon was fighting for survival against bad teams well before the first CFP poll. This Oregon team had no business being in the top 10.

The CFP is simply a political selection committee and an insult to real sport.
