I used to like the Aggies as long as they weren't playing BYU - until I moved to

Logan. And holy crap the BYU hatred up there is unbearable. When people found out I had just transferred from BYU, without fail the response would be "heck yeah! good job getting away from that school". When I'd explain that I had actually loved it there, and still liked the school, they'd look at me in disbelief and always remember me as a BYU girl.

There was a guy in my ward that I'd talk to frequently, and anytime he saw me, he'd just call me BYU. Three months after moving there, he finally admitted that he didn't know my name, cuz he just knew I was a BYU fan. I went on a date with another guy who told me "I'm a faithful, tithe-paying member, but the thing I hate most about paying my tithing is knowing that some bit of it might go to that school." After USU beat BYU in football my first year there, my roommate walked in and just yelled and obscenity in my face. My friends would boo BYU players who got injured during a football game.

That was the majority of my experience. One exception though was Justin Bean and his roommate who was a manager on the basketball team. We lived in a weird house where the bottom apartment was girls, and the top apartment was guys. Justin and Ryan lived above me, and would engage in funny, good-hearted banter with me. They'd invite me up to watch march madness, and would always say hi to me on campus. They are some genuinely good dudes. So while the tears of the HURD are especially delicious, I'm definitely still a Justin Bean fan and wish him nothing but the best.
