I think Pope leaves before Kalani. At some point he will get a swing at a BIG
job—one of the blue bloods. He’s a Kentucky guy after all. Wouldn’t shock me if he gets a top 15-type job and takes it…
Think UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas, Gonzaga, Nova, Mich State or Mich….
If one of those jobs comes open and BYU has had 3-4 years of success in the Big 12, he gets an interview, impresses (because his energy is contagious) and takes it.
Keep in mind Burgess went to Duke (at least for a while), Pope is a Kentucky guy. They aren’t welded to BYU as much as I think Kalani is
