The fact we are going to go into a BIG12 conference means we need to act like it. It doesn’t have to be unreasonable. No private jets or having them buy their homes but provide the compensation and budget to effectively compete. If the BoT doesn’t want to spend more money then we shouldn’t have signed off on the BIG12.
Kalani in the interviews he has always been about improving BYU. I am positive that he is using this as way to point those things out. It’s Kalani playing hardball with BYU. Kalani has to know we want him here.
BYU just has gotten passive in the coaching department and especially recruiting. Often people post on here that why so and so isn’t being recruited or offered. I would guess it’s because Kalani doesn’t have the budget to fly out and meet these kids.
If this whole gut wretching hardball improves BYU than it was worth going through.
