Even though tech startups sell you the sky hardly anyone makes real money on the exit. But people continue to bite on
the sales pitch. Especially late stage. Candidates think they can combine the stability that comes from a well funded startup with the payday that comes from being an early employee who is shouldering all the risk. It hardly ever works that way.
