Which in my opinion, is absurd. Actually my opinion is fact on this point. There's no reason to have an "all-sports" ranking system if not all the sports are treated equally. I could see them awarding slight modifications for number of athletes on a given team, but that's not apparently what they do, it's more about visibility. But I say that's a sham. Let's do composite rankings that award the same number of points per sport or per athlete. On that BYU is at or very near the top.

Otherwise, why bother? Everybody already knows that football and basketball are the cash cows and they have their own well-followed ranking systems. Leave that where it is.
