Seems like an NCAA sanctioned sport would be a huge appeal to that level of
player regardless, since most playing BYU club soccer are off the professional pathway regardless.. especially when you factor in the RM status.
But getting the free Nike gear, some scholarship/NIL money, playing in front of 2-4K people, playing on BYUTv and playing some decent name opponents (UCLA, Stanford) would be a huge appeal to the kid who's already seen the academy pathway go by.
