For the employee the record-keeper doesn’t matter that much IMO It’s more about
The administrative needs of the employer. You might like one app or web experience over another. You might have slightly shorter wait times for a phone call but that’s about it.

One advantage for employees in a Fidelity plan is Fidelity’s commitment to “the lifetime customer”.

Fidelity is not an inexpensive provider but they never lose a client with a 99%+ retention record.
