80s Hit/Cover "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany propelled to fame from Utah?
One of my guilty pleasures is the Professor of Rock on YouTube- today's drop was around the song "I think we're alone now" that was actually a hit in the 60's and has hit the billboards almost every decade since. Crazy. The biggest probably being in the 80's with Tiffany - apparently the Mall Tour and the song got a boost from Utah Djs here in Salt Lake. The video actually is filmed in Ogden City Mall - if you lived through the 80s you know this song was everywhere (too a fault) and so was the video on MTV. Dang Aggies get all the fun.
Again...Professor of Rock is awesome for anyone wanting to get some great insights and stories, some awesome interviews with groups like Toto, Erasure, Sammy Hagar, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, loved the When in Rome, The Promise one as well...included below for your enjoyment. It's an excellent rabbit hole to go down.
