I love to stay near the placa Catalunya. It is the start of the ramblas and
there are Multiple subway lines there and it is walking distance to the gothic quarter and most everything else. It is the middle of it all.

We stayed at the Sagrada Familia Hotel. If you have time go to MontSerrat about an hour outside Barcelona
