Our Honda Pilot that we bought used for about $5k and our teenage son drives - transmission light goes on. Called around and transmission mechanic says most of those are usually meaning the entire transmission needs to be replaced for about $5k. 😥

Just curious how do you get rid of a car like that, try to sell it or take it to scrap yard for parts? Just curious, obviously don't want to put more money into it, but then again buying another car used is a crapshoot as well.
