Help me oh wise CB re: mortgage loans. As part of the mortgage loan process my
son is currently involved in, the lender required me to state that a certain amount that showed up in my son's bank account was a gift. Fine, I did that via a letter (which was unacceptable and now they give us the form they want used) but I also had to provide a "full bank statement" showing the issuance of that check and that it cleared. I did that as well as providing a copy of the check.

The lender is saying my bank statement is not acceptable because I blacked out the account numbers. Am I required to divulge to a third party my bank account numbers so my son can get a mortgage loan from them when I am not directly involved in this transaction?
