I don't recall this. . . I remember James Anderson though during the same time.
Noah spaced the floor well, had a good 3 point shot as well as being tall and talented enough to play good defense down low. I always liked Hartsock. James Anderson was bagged on for poor defense, JT for shooting too much when Jimmer was the better shooting option, and KC had poor free throw shooting are the only things I remember being brought up early in Noah's career at BYU being weaknesses.

Noah Freshman year, off the bench decent contributor, definitely his "weak year"
Noah Sophomore year, played so "poorly" he replaced JT as a starter and had the highest FG%, #1 rebounder, fewest turnovers of all players who started atleast 1 game. Played good Defense.
Junior year - Hartsock had the highest FG% and 3FG% on the entire team and was even more accurate than Jimmer during Jimmermania. . .
While he did not have the lockdown level defense, his defense was typically solid but was sometimes forced to play center when he was most comfortable playing on the wing.

The more I think about this, the more I think CB must have been ridiculous back then because this makes no sense. Are we complaining that Hartsock (a #3 position recruit) didn't play well when he was thrust into playing center due to injuries? Because there is NOTHING else about his game I can fathom BYU could complain about.
