The plug in hybrids are appealing to me
Installing a charging station at home isn't a huge deal to me as they seem almost inevitable at this point.
A plug in hybrid would get me everywhere I need to go on the vast majority of days using just the battery power. And then you have the gas engine if that isn't enough. Best of both worlds.

8 years or 100k whatever comes first. And yes real life expectancy is looking closer to 300k or 400k.
