My dad always used to say to never buy the first year of a model
He'd be 103 if he were still alive. I have mostly ignored this advice, but with EVs I think it is very wise. I think I would trust a Tesla, but honestly nothing else. Range anxiety is a major concern for me, especially with a truck and the fact that I tow. I think I'll probably start with a hybrid F-150, then move up to a full EV after they get things worked out a bit more.

8 years or 100k whatever comes first. And yes real life expectancy is looking closer to 300k or 400k.
