Depreciation is a cost on all cars. It'd only enter my calculus on buying a daily driver if the car I wanted had above-average depreciation.
I don't remember the exact numbers but I thought Tesla guaranteed their batteries for like 100K miles, and in reality they are expected to work for 200-300K miles, so that's not significantly different from an internal combustion car. Your range does decrease over a 10 year period but again I don't think it's to the point it truly affects function or value.
