That's really the way I look at it too- which is why I think the 8 year threshold isn't a big deal
Even if you have get new batteries at 11 years, that's still cheaper than a new car and most people are replacing their ICE cars by then if not before.

8 years or 100k whatever comes first. And yes real life expectancy is looking closer to 300k or 400k.
