It’s clear that Dart wants that and that Kalani is telling him it’s his to
compete for. And I love that. Jaren will face competition sooner or later if he gets to the NFL. If Jaren can prove it in the NFL then he should be able to prove it to the current coaches.
The coaches want both guys to compete for it. Guarantees BYU either currently has a better QB or that we upgraded. Win/Win for the program.
But i think the coaches wouldn’t go hard for him unless they thought he has a real shot at winning the battle.
Once we understand he has a legit shot of winning the spot then the actions and excitement make sense.

Why don’t you want BYU to get as many of the best players as they can get? That’s what makes no sense.
