#3 is all that matters. You can’t tell your players that every position is a competition every week except for QB. Jaren can’t be scared of a kid who will only have fall ball to learn the offense in 11v11 situations, especially considering he’s been in the program for several years.
I can’t get on board with the loyalty argument when Jaren has missed as much time as he has and Baylor just transferred out. Conover hasn’t proven anything and could turn out to be a bust. If we’re gonna have a competitive Big XII program, coaches MUST build as much depth as possible at every position.
