IMO Allgeier is the perfect RB for the NFL. He is a stud. I am not sure what Kiper is thinking. He is not anti-BYU. He has projected many BYU players high in the draft in previous years. I believe he will be one of the top 5 running backs picked in the draft. I think he will have a very successful NFL career.
I am a Ute fan who was not happy that we did not pursue Dart more than we did. I love Coach Whitt, but I think he made a mistake on Dart. He already had a commitment from a 4-star QB and felt that he would lose him if he pursued Dart. Well, we lost Costelli any way to the portal much like we did with Tuttle. I watched Dart many times as a senior at Corner Canyon. He had the body of a man and was an excellent QB. He won the national Gatorade player of the year.
Is Utah pursuing him now? I highly doubt it. We have a 4-star QB starting and 3 others in the QB room. Personally, I think that Dart is a better prospect than anyone we have. However, that ship has sailed. Also, I think Rising is a perfect fit for Utah's scheme. I don't think Rising is a future NFL player, but he is a great fit for what we do. (By the way, I do not think Rising would have changed the outcome of the Utah/BYU game last year. I think our problem at that time was with our offensive and defensive lines.)
I also think that Dart is better than Hall at BYU. But, Hall has more experience, knows the system, and also is a good fit for BYU. So, IMO if Dart ends up at BYU, he would not be the starter in 2022. Honestly, I cannot compare him to Conover because I have not seen Conover play. I believe Dart is a stud and would help most any team in the country.
Just my two cents.
