I’d say go after a QB in recruiting each year so they can be developed just like

McMan, Wilson, Young… they trended to be their best during their year which turns into a reload scenario… throwing a transfer QB in there screwes up chemistry and rhythm for the entire team and you’re at the mercy of chance when the transfer ages out too early of goes to the NFL.

Transfer portal QBs only help teams like Bama and OU because their overall team talent is so good so for byu rhythm and chemistry is priority over a possible flash in the pan season… and then there is Charlie Brewer situation… I side with loyalty to your own rather than the motives of an unknown stranger that seems impressive
