we should use their schedule dilemma as leverage to secure a financially favorable scheduling alliance. I would offer 1-2 games per year on a rotating basis so you don’t always have to play the top teams (no preferential status for Utah)

Play an annual P12/BYU game in September in Vegas with BYU as the home team so we get a favorable ticket and TV revenue split. Maybe do it as the annual season kickoff game followed by a cream puff game. No more September gauntlets like we’ve had as Indy.

Then play a second game later in the season on a H/H basis with the teams that have an opening, like in the off years of the ND series with USC and Stanford like we already committed to.

Just use this leverage to get an extra lucrative $ games in Provo or Vegas. We would get fun games with P5 teams that would usually have a BYU home crowd.

We can help solve their problem on our terms now. We will already have enough travel with a B12 schedule so staying home or in the west for a P5 game is good for BYU as well.
