But the two overweight characters especially just bummed me out when they were on. I don't think I ever saw them smile.

My wife would watch this show so I saw parts of it here and there. I'm sorry, life in America is not that depressing and doesn't need to be as sad as it's portrayed in that show. Even the famous actor dude always seemed depressed and sad all of the time.
