Granted my limited experience is teaching primary but after spending several hours to prepare a 45 minute lesson only to watch it go completely sideways as I lose control of a group of 8-10 children, come home exhausted never wanting to do it again, feeling absolutely defeated...if I had to do that 5 days a weeks, 6-7 hours a day, for 25-30 kids...nope, no way, uh uh. In my book you cannot pay teachers enough. It's gotta be the hardest job. Kudos to all you teachers out there.
