Does he excel at one or the other? Let the kids play as much as they can handle.
I’d say if you can see he has a chance to get a scholarship in one maybe focus on that one more, but playing multiple sports is never a bad thing. Great lessons are learned when you are on a team and you’re not the best player on that team when compared to being the man in another sport.
Just my two cents. This is the only time in their life they’ll get to play sports and have no worries.
